Brussels graffiti art masters

Brussels artists create some of the most amazing graffiti in Europe.
There's a place in Andelecht where you can see their art in all its glory - however you'll have to find it for yourself or ask me nicely...I'm thinking of commissioning the next Belge Banksy or Keith Haring to do my living room wall...

We are a US company opening a photography studio in Brussels, and are looking for local artists to work on murals in our loft/warehouse space.

Please call me at (0) 485 895 567.

Many thanks and best regards,

Natacha

Hi there. Are you able to recommend any good sites in Brussels to paint pieces. I'm going there for a long weekend this week and don't really want to travel all the way to Gent. what's the graff scene like out there? Are the cops bothered if you do tram station walls during the day?

Hi riotjunkie,
The best place I know is under the ring at Anderlecht at the edge of a park called Neerpede. You can find it if you go to the last stop on the 56 tram at the southwest end of Avenue Marius Renard, then walk towards the ring flyover and you'll see all the concrete columns. That's where I took all the photos of graffiti on this blog. Some great pieces but lots of free space too! I don't know about cops as I don't paint, only photograph. Cheers Lucy.

Thanks for the reply. Although I'm already back from Brussels now but I'm hoping to go back soon. I didn't get a chance to paint this time round as the graff shops were shut by the time I arrived, so I didn't get to buy any supplies until the last day. Only for my spray cans to get confiscated at the airport!

Hi riotjunkie,
Do you know Antwerp?
I was there at the weekend and there's a great shop called Fish and Chips (www.fishandchips.be) where they sell clothes etc and also aerosol spray cans in a huge range of colours. I don't know how the prices compare to other places...I saw some cans for 4 euros and some were more, I think.
