Brussels beauties

A fantastic shop facade on Chaussee de Mons in southern Anderlecht.
This 'Sporting' lettering reminds me a little of the fandabeedozee neon signs in Budapest dating from the 1960s which are dying out now. They would announce cafes, eszpresszo bars, cipobolt (shoe shop), fodrasz (hairdresser's), oras (watchmaker's) and the like. [Elnezest, hogy nem tudok irni magyar ekezettel ezen a rohadt gepen...]

Hi Trevor,
It's on Chaussee de Mons in south Anderlecht.
I don't know the house number but it's opposite the KBC Bank at Chaussee de Mons 1010.
If you take the metro to La Roue and then take the exit heading back from whence you came (if you see what I mean, heading back in a northerly direction), you'll pass a pizzeria with a huge pizza stuck to the wall (!) then continue north along Chaussee de Mons and look left over the road and you'll see this lovely wall. They repaired the roof tiles last week and I was very nervous that the facade might disappear but it's still there - thank goodness! Cheers La Grande Abeille x
